Brown China Forum (BCF) is a non-profit organization registered with Brown University. It’s aimed at the promotion of mutual understanding between China and the United States as well as the enhancement of the relationship between these two major players in today’s international community.

The BCF is composed of four constituents: BCF conference series, the BCF journal, special events and seminars.

With our firm belief in pursuing common interest while shelving discordances, BCF conference calls together academics, policy-makers, business people and experts in many China-related fields. The conferences center on issues about mutual understanding between China and the United States. The objective of BCF conference series is two-fold: (1) explore solutions to the commonly interested subjects; (2) motivate further discussions in broader and deeper contexts

Enhancing cooperation between China and United States as its leitmotiv, the BCF journal seeks to bring into the horizon of both American intelligentsia and the interested public up-to-date dynamics of China and in-depth analysis of the country’s development. As a complementary component to the BFC conference series, the BCF journal also provides follow-up focuses on issues raised in the conferences and seminars. The BCF journal encourages people who are from diverse cultural backgrounds to share their perspectives so that a more realistic and panoramic view of China can be drawn and displayed in the global gallery.

BCF also organizes special events during school year. Through such activities, participants are expected not only to bathe in the Chinese tradition but also to familiarize themselves with the American culture.

BCF seminars will be held on Brown campus monthly, and the schedule will be announced during school year.
